Chronology 3 Jan 1949: Laid down.
14 Apr 1951: Christening.
4 Feb 1952: Commissioned as hydrographic survey/research vessel, part of the Navy's 'white fleet'.
24 Nov 1972: Decommissioned
23 Mar 1973 - Oct 1976: Accommodation vessel for Dutch submarine service in Faslane, Scotland.
21 Jan 1977: Stricken
31-05-1977: Bought by Wilton Fijenoord shipyard, Schiedam (Netherlands), to  accommodate trial
 crews of newly built ships.
Currently a museum ship, being restored by VVKM volunteers, Den Helder.
